Edward Sarker
Architect · founder · maker · dreamer
I build technology for love and freedom — cloud and AI platforms to pay the bills, homestead and small-business systems to sleep at night, and odd inventions because they won't leave me alone. Built with people in mind. Built to outlast.

Interests
The heart of it.
Love, freedom, and a well-kept charge controller — the through-line is building, discovering, and lifting everyone I can along the way.
Family
My wife, our kittens, and a home we're building to outlast whatever comes.
Photo & video
The eye behind Dreamland — aerials, portraits, live shows, and people exactly as they are.
Drones & VR
Flying everywhere the eye can't reach; stepping into worlds that don't exist yet.
Inventing & discovery
If it doesn't exist, I want to try making it. If it exists, I want to know why it works.
Homestead tech
Solar, water, garden automation, off-grid systems — technology that keeps a home running when the grid won't.
Small business
Independent shops and studios deserve tools that respect them. Building those is a calling, not a side gig.
Spotlight for friends
I run events so my friends can perform and build their social media for free — other people's wins are the best wins.
People
Technology is just the medium — the point is people. Community, connection, and mental-health tools that meet folks where they are.
Founding & operating
Companies, not just code.
Architecture is one instrument; ownership is another. The pattern started early — consulting, field engineering, and enough small-business IT to learn what downtime really costs. It never stopped.
Dreamland Media
FounderPhotography, videography, and live-event production — portraits, brand shoots, aerial work, and full event coverage. A crew for moments worth keeping.

FounderAn artistic boudoir photography studio with its own platform — booking, client galleries, and age-gated access. Built the whole thing front to back: brand, product, and infrastructure.

A few stories.
Names and numbers left out on purpose — happy to fill in the details over coffee. The rest lives on LinkedIn.
The GenAI teddy bear
For a hackathon, I built a talking teddy bear with GenAI inside. The serious version of the same idea: AI training infrastructure, clinical AI solutions, and a platform we championed all the way to investor buy-in.
Early eBPF, with the originals
I've worked with the founding architects of Kubernetes networking on some of the earliest eBPF iterations — and eventually Istio. A container platform went from concept to full production while the ink was still drying on the standards.
Built to acquire
I built a DevOps department from zero — dozens of concurrent enterprise engagements on modular Terraform and Kubernetes. The audit-ready processes were exactly what the buyer's due diligence wanted to find.
Penthouse architecture
Platform decisions happen in odd places: conference floors, penthouse bars, late-night calls. Some of those conversations became years-long engagements in high-security cloud — regulated industries, strict data rules, real consequences.

Connect
Say hello.
Building something? Stuck on something? Dreaming about something? Tell me — the world doing great things is my favorite view.
A platform problem, a cost curve that won't bend, an AI build that needs a steady hand. Fifteen minutes is usually enough to tell if I can help.
Principal and staff platform roles, hands-on. I don't do drive-by decks — whatever I take on, I stay through Day 2.
